3D FileSystem Profiler
Version 1.6 Release Notes

Platform

3D FileSystem Profiler uses the Java Runtime Environment version 1.3 (or later.) If you do not have Java 1.3 (or later) installed on your computer, you can obtain a free copy of the JRE at the following Sun Microsystems locations:

Check the availability of the Java platform for the other operating system platforms at the same website.

In the Microsoft Windows platform, to find out if you have the Java 1.3 environment installed on your computer, first open the Start menu, then select the Programs menu item, then select the  Command Prompt menu item. In the Command Prompt window, type and execute:

     java -version

In the output, you should see "java version 1.3...."

After downloading the jar file, run the application from the profiler.jar:

    java -jar profiler.jar

In the Microsoft Windows environment the application can be executed simply by double clicking on the jar filename. A shortcut can also be created and placed on the Desktop.

Main class name is Profiler. If the program cannot be executed with the -jar argument, an alternate way of executing the program can be:

   java -cp profiler.jar Profiler

Basic operation of 3D FileSystem Profiler is tested on the Windows 2000 environment.

Directory Access

3D FileSystem Profiler writes persistent application settings into the file 3DFileSystemProfile/3DFileSystemProfile.ser. Software will not function as designed if this file cannot be written.
